AT&T has dropped the ball on this one!
Their servers can't handle the load so my Mom's is "pending" activation.
Then, I couldn't activate mine yet because my zip code was changed by the postal service about a month ago and AT&T's computers don't recognize it. When I tried to call, they transferred me 3 times and ultimately to Apple Tech Support. My issue is with AT&T NOT Apple. So, when I tried to call AT&T back, they said they are having technical difficulties and couldn't take my call.
UGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've waited since 7:30am and now I can't use it!!!
P.S. Apple tech support said it's important to let it charge via an A/C outlet (not your computer) for 6-8 hours before use.

They still won't tell us how many they have in stock. Two counters have stacks like this and there may be more in the back. They do not have the apple bluetooth headset yet. I am on my way home to start syncing.

Not only are people lined up in the stanchions but they are down the exit and also lined up down an exit on the other side.

By the way, I asked about whether or not the iPhones had been delivered already or if they would be delivered by FedEx later today. They wouldn't say....

iTunes 7.3 Released
iTunes 7.3 has been released. It's a requirement of the iPhone. So, be sure to download and install it BEFORE you try setting up your new phone. I'm in the process of installing right now.
Florida Mall
Well, last minute I decided to go to the Florida Mall due to the weather forcast. I arrived here at about 7:30am even though last night we were told we wouldn't be allowed in until 8am. The doors to the mall entrance were unlocked so I just let myself in. In front of the Apple store, stanchions were set-up. However, there weren't very many. It was obvious that mall security did not fully anticipate the hype surrounding this event. So, here I am #1! An Apple employee took a picture of me along with my name and said they are sending in the first at each store to corporate. Pretty neat! There are about 15-20 people here so far. Mall security has put up additional stanchions since they realized more people were continuing to show up.
